No plan to revise reservation norms under NEP: Education Minister - Times of India
NEW DELHI: There is not any plan to revise the prevailing reservation norms under the brand new National Education Policy, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ stated on Monday. Nishank made the feedback in response to a written query within the Lok Sabha about whether or not the federal government plans to revise the prevailing reservation norms under the NEP.

“There is no question of revising the reservation policy,” Nishank stated.

The NEP authorized by the Union Cabinet in July replaces the 34-year-previous National Policy on Education framed in 1986 and is aimed toward paving the best way for “transformational reforms” in colleges and better training methods to make India a “global knowledge superpower”.
